ICON Construction PLC is an Ethiopian Grade 1 contractor headquartered in Addis Ababa. Since 2010 we have delivered roads, public buildings, schools, university dormitories, and water infrastructure for government bodies and institutions across the country.
What we do
Our work falls into three disciplines. We build roads — gravel, urban access, and inter-regional links designed for durability. We build buildings — administrative offices, police commissions, schools, and university housing. And we build water systems — from civil works and pipe networks to complete electromechanical installation for towns and institutions.
How we work
Every project starts with a cost, timeline, and constraint sheet we can defend. Materials and methods are chosen for the twenty-year life of the asset, not for the ribbon-cutting photograph. We report progress, cost, and risk weekly — no surprises at handover. And we hand over clean: as-built drawings, maintenance manual, and a warranty that means something.
Credentials & Recognition
We hold an Ethiopian Grade 1 Contractor licence for both building and road works — the highest tier issued by the Ministry of Urban Development and Construction. We are registered with the Addis Ababa Construction Permit and Supervision Authority.
We have received certificates of appreciation from Lideta Sub-city Woreda 02 Administration, the Construction Permit and Supervision Authority, Abay Choman Woreda Administration, and the Addis Ababa Safety and Construction Works Bureau — for delivery quality, on-time completion, and community support.
